Candlefy began with the natural aromas of places we truly connected with: the giant sequoia groves of the Sierra Nevada, the tropical breezes of Maui and the alpine meadows of the European Alps. Each of these places has a presence you can feel with your eyes closed - a sensation that stays with you long after you’ve left.
Scent has the power to transport you, evoke memories and completely transform the energy of a room. We built Candlefy to make that experience an everyday ritual - through hand-poured candles, room sprays, reed diffusers and wax melts.
California is Where We Make It.
Our 15,000-square-foot production facility is located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, surrounded by the Santa Monica Mountains, Los Padres National Forest and the Pacific shoreline. This environment shapes our fragrances while reminding us of our responsibility in sustainable manufacturing practices.
Our standards start with our people.
At 5:00 a.m. daily, our candle makers begin melting wax, blending fragrance and pouring by hand. There is a rhythm to making things the right way, and we’ve built our entire facility around it. Producing our products in-house means we can give every detail the attention it deserves - and take full responsibility for everything that leaves our factory.

We work exclusively with select American suppliers - established businesses with decades of experience and a shared commitment to treating employees fairly and respectfully.
For our candles, we chose a proprietary coconut-apricot wax blend made specifically for Candlefy. Its ability to hold fragrance and its slow, clean burn create the foundation for our experience: a scent that fills the room evenly, develops as it burns and invites you to stay a little longer.
Our premium fragrances give each collection its distinct character, from fresh coastal notes to warm woods and soft florals. They are always clean and phthalate-free.

Meet the Founders.
We’re Bela and Jan, the founders of Candlefy. Our roots are Portuguese and German, but California is where we’ve built our life together - with two children, American passports and a business we’ve created side by side.
When we first met, we spent countless weekends exploring the American West together. The places we discovered, and the way they made us feel, became the inspiration for Candlefy. Those road trips eventually led us here: More than a million candles made, finding their way into homes across the country.
