Zodiac Birthday Candles

About The Zodiac

As the Earth makes its orbit around the Sun, our line of sight towards the Sun passes through the constellations of the Zodiac that loosely change from the last week of one month to the next.

Each Zodiac sign is represented with a symbol or animal that embodies certain personality traits. The Zodiac starts with the sign Aries (the ram constellation), which spans from the last week of March through to the third week of April, at which time the sun passes into Taurus (the bull constellation). During the course of the year, our line of sight towards the Sun passes through all the Zodiac signs. Taurus is followed by Gemini (the twins), then Cancer (the crab,) Leo (the lion), Virgo (the virgin), Libra (the scales), Scorpio (the scorpion), Sagittarius (the archer), Capricorn (the goat), Aquarius (the water bearer), and last, Pisces (the two fish).

As we make our trip around the sun, each of the four elements (Fire, Earth, Air, and Water) is associated with 3 corresponding signs of the Zodiac, which are always located exactly 120 degrees away from each other along Earth’s orbit. It is believed that these elements influence our personalities as well, and that signs that share the same element are highly compatible.
